Game design and game studies
Computer gaming, as a form of creative media, is rapidly changing. In recent years, we have witnessed the rise of novel forms of technological gaming, intersecting the boundaries between gaming environments and the real world. As the medium has matured, the usual exciting and fun games have given way to diverse forms of expression, from "serious games" and "art games" to "game poems" and other forms of critical games. Games nowadays are acknowledged to be at the forefront of narrative possibilities, either in solitary or in group settings, and both directly and indirectly.

How do video game environments relate to preexisting spaces?
-
What kind of temporal agencies can video games endow upon players?
-
Does video game environment design reveal specific design philosophies?
-
What does embodied cognition tell us about the video game experience?
-
What are the affordances AI presents for cooperative storytelling?
